Benjamin currently scoring HOURS, starring Paul Walker
Benjamin is currently scoring HOURS, a new suspense thriller directed by Eric Heisserer (Final Destination 5, The Thing) and starring Paul Walker.
Paul Walker stars as Nolan, a man grieving the recent passing of his wife while attempting to keep his premature newborn daughter alive in an evacuated New Orleans hospital in the midst of Hurricane Katrina. The movie also stars Genesis Rodriguez (Man on a Ledge, Casa de mi Padre).
Speaking to the Washington Post, Paul Walker spoke about the role:
“This father is doing everything he can to just keep things going, keep electricity going, to keep this little baby going. My little girl means the whole world to me. I really want to believe that if I was placed in the same situation that I would rise above, that I would be able to see it through the end and do what it would take to make sure my baby came out on top.”
The film marks the directorial debut of Eric Heisserer, who wrote the screenplay. Also speaking to the Washinton Post, he said:
“It’s about parenthood. As I was writing this screenplay, I could see every scene. There comes a point where you fall in love with a project so much you just can’t let go of it.”
Benjamin Wallfisch will compose and conduct the score and the movie is due out in early 2013.
